Ripon College, Cuddesdon

Terrain Surveys were commissioned by architects Hopper Howe Sadler to produce a topographic survey of the campus grounds with floor plans and elevations of the college buildings and accommodation blocks. The site is a theological college that lies in a tranquil location south east of Oxford and the campus is made up of several historical buildings set in a large grounds


Volumetric Survey, Hertfordshire

Terrain Surveys were contacted by Chartered Town Planner, Simon Murphy, of Urban & Rural Planning Solutions, to provide a solution for his client who wanted to solve a problem of waterlogging on an area of his land. The site already had some existing stockpiles of soil materials and the proposal was to grade the land to form an acceptable profile while avoiding the need to import or export any further soil material.


Geffrye Museum, London

Working closely with the Museum and their architect, we have carried out several measured surveys over the last 4 years. This is all part of the ongoing additions and modernization to this East London Museum.


Vertical Survey, Gable End Wall, London

A consulting engineer contacted Terrain Surveys after his client raised concerns about the structural integrity of a gable wall on his property.

After an on site consultation, Terrain Surveys produced a method statement to survey the gable wall to the required accuracy and prove that a structural problem existed.


Manor House, Oxfordshire

Terrain Surveys were commissioned by Cheshire based architects, Janine Stone, to carry out a measured survey of the property. Their requirements consisted of producing a topographical survey of the land and gardens, floor plans, elevations and detailed cross-sections of all buildings.


Fort Gilkicker

Fort Gilkicker is a Victorian fort located on the Hampshire coast overlooking the Solent, near Gosport. It consisted of 22 gun emplacements in a semi-circular series of granite-faced casemates designed to sweep the approaches to Portsmouth harbour with devastating gun fire. The fort has not been used for costal defence since the 1950’s and has since been empty with some use as a storage facility.

Building Schools for the Future, London Borough of Ealing

As part of the nationwide ‘Building Schools for the Future’ project Terrain Surveys successfully won the contract to carry out topographical surveys, including all underground services, of seven secondary schools within the borough.

Marks and Spencer, Remodel Program

As part of a nationwide refurbishment project of many Marks and Spencer stores, Terrain Surveys were commissioned to provide fully dimensioned floor plans, sections and elevations of nineteen stores around the south east of England.

These stores varied greatly in size, location and building type and all had to be completed within a tight time frame, without disrupting the day to day running of each store.
