3D Revit Models
The Study is an independent preparatory school for girls aged four to eleven, located adjacent to Wimbledon Common.
When the school commissioned Nicholas Hare Architects to undertake design work for a programme of refurbishment work, Terrain Surveys were contracted to survey two buildings at the school – Spencer House and Wilberforce House – and to produce 3D Revit models for the architects.
The surveys, which had to be carried out with minimum disruption, included a complex arrangement of classrooms, a large hall, ICT suites, laboratories, art rooms, drama studios, music rooms and a modern library. 3D laser scan surveys were carried out over the Easter holiday period and complete Revit models were delivered early in the summer term.
The 3D models enabled all stakeholders to clearly visualise the proposed designs throughout the design and construction process.
