3D Revit Model of Wycombe General Hospital in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Overview
Terrain Surveys were pleased to undertake this 3D Revit Survey at Wycombe General Hospital in Buckinghamshire for our regular client, architecture practice Ingleton Wood LLP. This 3D Revit Survey was instructed to assist with a redevelopment scheme at this large Buckinghamshire NHS Trust.
The Survey
In order to accurately model the survey area, we first undertook a topographical survey. This was followed by a pointcloud survey to accurately capture the building details as well as all other manmade features. Ingleton Wood advised it was of particular importance to record all changes in levels throughout the site and ensure roof heights of the many buildings were detailed on the topographical survey 3D model.
Using the completed topographical and pointcloud surveys, our experienced in-house Revit technicians began the process of modelling this large site. This 3D Revit survey model was undertaken to Level of Detail 3 (LOD 3) which would include the external envelope of all buildings, road details, footpaths, walls, fences, service covers and trees within the survey area.
The Result
Our in-house 3D Revit survey technicians boast many years of experience in modelling public sector buildings such as hospitals and schools, and, over several weeks, the team completed the modelling process, which was then delivered to the client in Revit format.
