Topographical Survey of Meridian Water site in Edmonton, London

Overview

Meridian Water is a £6bn regeneration programme of a site located in Edmonton, London. Led by the London Borough of Enfield, the proposed programme is to deliver 10,000 new homes and thousands of jobs over a 20 year timeframe. A new railway station is currently being built, connecting the area to Liverpool Street and Stratford, as well as north to Cambridge and Stansted, respectively.

The Challenge

Our client, multi-discipline consultant, Arup, commissioned Terrain Surveys to provide a 3D topographical survey of the entire 210-acre site, along with surrounding roads and parts of the various watercourses that cross the site,. We would also be tasked with surveying the development area and the busy retail areas within the site.

Following the topographical survey, we were also instructed to produce a series of river section surveys to the Environment Agency specification.

The Result

This 3D topographical survey, which was undertaken using a combination of GNSS and traditional topographical survey methods, was completed well within the agreed timescales and to the agreed budget. This highly-detailed topographical survey underwent stringent QA procedures, carried out by our management team.

Should you be looking to instruct a topographical survey, please do not hesitate to contact Terrain Surveys and we would be pleased to assist.
