Residential Topographical Survey in Dunstable, Bedfordshire
OVERVIEW
Terrain Surveys were pleased to be instructed by a Bedfordshire-based architect to undertake this residential topographical survey of a family home nestled in the countryside which enjoys far-reaching to the rear.
THE CHALLENGE
Over a single day and using a total station, a team of two of our experienced topographical surveyors attended site and captured all site features, both natural and man-made, such as buildings, boundaries, trees, shrubs and changes of surface - all while taking in stunning views of the Bedfordshire countryside. Additionally, for site context, we were instructed to capture the ridge and eaves heights and ground levels of neighbouring properties which were located outside of the survey area. Once the team had captured all data from site, they made the short journey back to our Hertfordshire head office to produce this 3D topographical survey, measured to RICS guidelines.
THE OUTCOME
As with all surveys we undertake, we were pleased to ensure that this topographical survey was completed on-time and to the agreed budget. The survey drawings were delivered to the architect in 3D DWG format.
