A Ground Penetrating Radar Survey (more commonly referred to as a GPR Survey) is a non-intrusive survey method which forms part of an underground utility survey. Vital for many projects, a GPR Survey enables buried services to be located and mapped without the need for excavation. GPR Surveys therefore greatly reduce the risk of unforeseen issues during both the design and build stages. GPR Surveys are undertaken in conjunction with electromagnetic locators to perform a comprehensive underground utility survey.
Our GPR systems operate at 250 MHz and 700 MHz, displaying both channels simultaneously to increase detection performance and reduce the possibility of data error. Real-time displays allow us to mark the location of buried targets directly on site as the survey progresses, whilst data capture and onboard storage allow us to incorporate surveys results into our report presentations.
We’ve invested in the latest IDS and Mala GPR instrumentation, enabling us to detect both shallow and deep targets with a single scan, thereby reducing survey time and associated costs.
